We at Harrop Buckley Designs Ltd have been creating collectable hand painted figurines for over 30 years and have gained a well earned reputation of high quality and accuracy of detail.  Our extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few.  A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios!

In partnership with the BBC, we have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted Doctor Who figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions.
As a mark of provenance, each Limited Edition figurine will be numbered with a unique Edition Number and will come packaged in a presentation box with an Information Card and Certificate of Authenticity!

THE BORAD
From ‘Timelash’ 1985

“I am the Borad and I do not tolerate disloyalty.”

The TARDIS is caught in a time tunnel and arrives on Karfel, a planet ruled over by the Borad, a sadistic dictator who is never seen in person. Dissidents are punished by being exiled forever through a corridor of time and space they call the Timelash.

Maylin Renis, the most senior councillor of Karfel and a fellow councillor, Mykros, have been caught plotting to overthrow the Borad. The Maylin is executed and Mykros sentenced to the Timelash. Renis' daughter, Vena, steals an amulet conferring the power to a new Maylin, a sycophant named Tekker, but she accidentally falls into the Timelash, taking the amulet with her.
The arrival of the TARDIS presents Tekker with an opportunity to retrieve the amulet and Peri is taken hostage to ensure the Doctors cooperation. The Doctor travels down the Timelash where he finds Vena and the amulet, but upon returning to  Karfel, the amulet is seized and they are arrested.

The Borad is revealed to be a scientist the Doctor had befriended on a previous visit to Karfel. Later, the Doctor would report him for unethical experimentation on large reptiles called Morloxes.
However, the Borad is now a hideous fusion of both human and Morlox, the result of one of his experiments going horribly wrong. He now wishes to create a partner in his own image and imprisons Peri in a Morlox cave, alongside a canister of a chemical which can fuse together the tissues from different species.
