We at Harrop Buckley Designs Ltd have been creating collectable hand painted figurines for over 30 years and have gained a well earned reputation of high quality and accuracy of detail.  Our extensive portfolio includes Thunderbirds, Camberwick Green, Beano Dandy and 2000AD to name but a few.  A portfolio that is extremely nostalgic and very British, so it was no surprise that Doctor Who would be the next project that we wanted to embrace into our studios!

In partnership with the BBC, we have meticulously hand sculpted a range of 1:12 scale, hand cast and hand painted Doctor Who figurines, each made to strict Worldwide Limited Editions.
As a mark of provenance, each Limited Edition figurine will be numbered with a unique Edition Number and will come packaged in a presentation box with an Information Card and Certificate of Authenticity!

MONOID NUMBER 1
From ‘The Ark’ 1966

“In a short while, Refusis will be ours. We will land there. We will create a Monoid world.”

The TARDIS materialises ten million years in the future on a vast spacecraft. The vessel is populated by humans who are masters over one-eyed creatures called Monoids.  The humans explain that the Earth will be destroyed due to the expansion  of the Sun, and that the ship is an ‘Ark’, sent into space with the last remnants of humanity.  Their destination is an Earth-like planet called Refusis II, a journey that will take 700 years.  The Doctor’s companion, Dodo, has a cold which spreads quickly through the Ark and is deadly to its occupants who have no natural immunity to it.  The Doctor creates a vaccine which appears to work and the ship returns back to normal.  With his work seemingly complete the Doctor returns to the TARDIS. The Doctor and his companions revisit the Ark 700 years later where they learn that a second wave of the virus weakened the human population allowing the Monoids to stage a coup. Now lead by a Monoid called Number 1, they are now the masters over a subordinate human population.  They are close to their ultimate destination of Refusis II, but there is disharmony amongst the Monoids and the humans  are plotting to revolt…
